Accompanying Persons Programme

The Newcastle Visitor & Convention Bureau can assist with tailoring an accompanying person’s programme to suit your group. From an Art Gallery Walking Tour taking in Newcastle’s inner city galleries, to an intimate cooking school with a renowned Hunter chef, or a sports afternoon offering golf, surfing, tennis or sailing.

The Newcastle Visitor & Convention Bureau can put you in touch with the right people to make your accompanying persons programme a success.

Some options available – all within one hour of the CBD – include:

  • Newcastle Harbour Cruise - cruise around Newcastle Harbour on a modern 22m Moonshadow Cruises Catamaran licensed to seat up to 200 passengers for a dinner or lunch cruise.

  • Historical Walking Tour of the Eastend of Newcastle - taking in landmarks such as Fort Scratchley, Christchurch Cathedral, the beach areas, Earp Gillam Bond Warehouse, Harbour Foreshore, Customs House, Stationmasters Cottage etc

In the early days of settlement of the Hunter Region, Morpeth was a busy inland port, with steam and paddle ships transporting the regions produce down to the Port of Newcastle for distribution further afield.
