The Conference Ambassador Programme began as a partnership between
the Newcastle Visitor and Convention Bureau and the University of Newcastle
with the aim of bringing state, national and international conferences
to Newcastle.
‘Ambassadors’ play a key role in securing conferences
for their home cities and recruiting from academic, medical, business
and professional institutions and organisations operating in and around
Newcastle.
Newcastle is at the forefront of many exciting developments especially
in medicine, educational and industry. The hosting of a well-managed
conference is an ideal way to showcase and promote these developments
and offers the perfect opportunity to highlight your University, Faculty
or organisation and it’s work.
The Ambassador Programme seeks to make it as easy as possible to bring
a conference to the city, from the creation of a tailored bid document
through to venue selection and detailed conference organisation.
